As a leading international journal for healthcare regulatory affairs, Regulatory Rapporteur’s mission is to deliver expert and authoritative content to TOPRA members and the wider professional community.
Over the past few years, it has seen a number of changes, from its launch online in 2022 to the introduction of new content such as industry news and podcasts in 2023. To ensure Regulatory Rapporteur continues to evolve and improve, TOPRA conducted a readership survey earlier this summer to gain feedback to help inform and shape our future plans.
We had a fantastic response and extend our sincere thanks to all our readers who took the time to share their thoughts with us. We gained useful feedback regarding important areas such the journal’s format, article subject matter and how we can enhance the regulatoryrapporteur.org website, in terms of additional content and accessibility.
We were particularly delighted to hear how many TOPRA members see the journal as an important part of their membership and that it positively supports their role in regulatory affairs. Readers overwhelmingly find the journal content valuable, alongside the technical level and breadth of topics covered.
Following positive feedback on Regulatory Rapporteur’s themed issues, we will build on these going forward, and continue to publish articles on popular topics such as artificial intelligence and regulatory intelligence, but with an increased emphasis on how these can be applied in professionals’ daily tasks.
The survey also gave us valuable insights into how readers like to consume their content and other types of content they would like to see more of to keep them abreast of ever-changing regulations and guidance.
We are now devising a roadmap informed by the survey that will enable us to plan and implement a range of exciting new developments that will position Regulatory Rapporteur as the industry’s go-to for all things regulatory affairs. The first of these is due to launch in October 2025 and more information on this will follow shortly.
Victoria Goff, Editor-in-Chief of Regulatory Rapporteur, commented: “The Regulatory Rapporteur Editorial Board would like to thank everyone who participated in our readership survey. We were delighted to receive so many positive comments, but also helpful suggestions on how we can enhance our content to deliver increased value to our readers. We’ve already held constructive workshops about how we can progress these and look forward to implementing some exciting changes in the coming months.”
Dr Samantha Atkinson, Chief Executive Officer at TOPRA, added: “TOPRA’s mission is to represent the healthcare regulatory affairs profession globally, by offering exceptional support and education for all regulatory professionals. Regulatory Rapporteur is front and centre of our membership value proposition and plays a huge role in promoting excellent regulatory practice.
“The insights gained from the survey give us a great opportunity to hear first-hand what our readers want, and will enable us to enhance our strategy and approach, to ensure that we continue to support the profession in the optimum way.”
