Abstract
Medicinal product information serves as a vital risk minimisation resource, providing healthcare professionals with up-to-date scientific data on the benefits and risks of medicines to support informed prescribing decisions. It also empowers patients and caregivers by enhancing their understanding of prescribed treatments.
This article gives an introduction to product information, how the content is created and managed, and the benefits of transitioning from current paper patient information leaflets (PIL) to electronic product information labelling.
